“To say on the authority of the Bible [or any other book] that God does a thing no honourable man would do, is to lie against God; to say that it is therefore right, is to lie against the very spirit of God. To uphold a lie for God’s sake is to be against God, not for him. God cannot be lied for. He is the truth. The truth alone is on his side.” ~ George MacDonald
This is a site for those who love truth more than they love their ideology or beliefs. If you love your ideology or belief more than truth, no amount of information will change your mind. You have already decided what you are going to believe; you are not interested in the truth. But if you value truth above all else, you will go where the evidence leads, and you will give those you strongly disagree with (and even those you think are dangerous) a fair hearing.1 With that said, here are my disclaimers.
Just because I share a video or article does not mean I agree with everything in the article or video (and I'm sure they wouldn't agree with me on many things). I share what I share because I think they have drawn attention to something worth knowing (though I do share some videos because I wish to promote their channel). All the embedded videos are in the public domain.
And rather than put too much information on any single page, I’ve chosen to put a little bit on most pages. If you find a page interesting and wish to know more about the topic or a related topic, click on the links at the bottom of that page.
Many pages are incomplete and may never be finished. Pages will be improved, and updates will be made as new information becomes available. So this is a site which is constantly under development.
Also, many of the pages on this site are hidden. If you find something you wish to refer to in the future bookmark it or you may not find it again. I've purposely designed it this way so some things are read before others.
1. I have noticed that it is often the case that public figures who are experts in a particular field, give their opinion on topics they know very little about, because the thing they are commenting on is not their field. In this way, the public is often misled. For example, an expert on China may know next to nothing about Islamic law or history, but feel the need to give their opinion about Islam because they feel strongly about a particular issue (e.g. the Uyghurs). They know the Uyghurs are being oppressed, but their knowledge about Islam is woeful. They may have read a book or two about Islam, but if the authors were apologists for Islam—who were more committed to making Islam look good than truth—then reading those books is worse than not having read any books at all. Because the authors were not willing to draw attention to some disturbing things in Islamic texts and Islamic history (and there are some very disturbing things, see Sword and Scimitar: Fourteen Centuries of War between Islam and the West by Raymond Ibrahim, and The Third Choice by Mark Durie), they, as the reader, will get a sanitised view (even Hitler looks good if you only focus on the good things he said and did). This is why the person who has not read any books on a particular subject, often has better judgement regarding that subject than those who have. They have not been misled by propaganda. To find out the truth about any subject we must have the courage to be committed to truth more than peace, or any belief, or political agenda. We should be charitable, but we must be honest. When examining any ideology or belief, we must pay careful attention to the good, the bad, and the ugly. This is why—even though I call myself a Christian—I am highly critical of the church when the church made God look like a monster or encouraged crimes against others (e.g. Jews). This site is, in part, an attempt to undo some of the propaganda that has been spread by foolish people, bad actors, and lovers of money.
