"...if we be honest with ourselves,
we shall be honest with each other." ~ George MacDonald
"...if we be honest with ourselves,
we shall be honest with each other." ~ George MacDonald

We accept many things because when we were taught them, they made sense. But just because something made sense does not make it right. It could make perfect sense, and be completely wrong. There may be a far better explanation.

Is God good? It depends what you mean by God; and what you mean by good.

The following is the most wonderful description of God I have ever read; I'm sure none of us can imagine God to be better than he is described in the sermon "Justice."

If God is as he is presented in that sermon, then his justice is nothing more or less than a perfect expression of his love. If true, he hates our sin because sin destroys us; he hates our sin because he loves us. If he is as he is presented in "Justice," then he will destroy that which destroys us because he loves us.

Justice (If you're a Christian you might want to take a look at Three Questions for Christians about Atonement before reading that sermon.)
